We PVPCOA, Pune along with Indian Institute of Architects, Pune present Architectural Quotient - 2016 an architectural quiz between colleges of architecture from 4:30 PM onward on Wednesday, 20th July 2016.

“Architectural Quotient 2016”, an Inter-Collegiate Quiz, between colleges of Architecture affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) and other universities, as a platform to showcase the best and the most knowledgeable minds in the city of Pune. This is an endeavour to encourage a spirit of friendly competition between the participating students eager to win the coveted prizes. 

The VISION is to elevate the quizzing standard of the Architectural Fraternity and to establish Pune as an Architectural Quiz Hub, thus preparing them for the Grand National Quiz, "ARCHUMEN" organised by Ethos. 

A dynamic form of architectural education, and the presentation of architectural trivia, this vibrant and exciting venture was established by the Padmabhushan Dr. Vasantdada Patil College of Architecture in 2008. It was launched to enable students from all architectural colleges in Pune to - engage in a battle of wits, test their Architectural knowledge and putting it to compete with teams from the other colleges. 

AQ seeks to prepare every architectural student in Pune and equip him/her with a sound knowledge of Architectural Trivia. AQ seeks to provide every participating individual, with necessary exposure and awareness of all facets of architecture and empower him/her with knowledge beyond the syllabus. 

In 2008 two teams, each consisting of two members each, from every college were allowed in the elimination round, and a final round was held, where six teams from six prominent colleges competed in the final showdown. Sinhgad College of Architecture. Pune (SCOA) emerged the winners. 

In 2011, we restarted the Quiz “AQ 2011” along with IIA, Pune Chapter & hosted a successful quiz. Now, This year too we plan to host the “AQ 2016” on Wednesday 20th July 2016 & would be happy to continue our association with IIA. 

Venue: 

S. M. Joshi Sabhagriha, Navi Peth, Pune. 

Event Schedule: 

1. 4:30 pm to 5:00 pm - On the spot Registration + Reporting 
2. 5:00 pm to 5:30 pm - Qualifying Round (written objective Quiz)
3. 5:30 pm to 6:15 pm - Break and Film Screening 
4. 6:15 pm to 7:30 pm - Quiz Final Round 
5. 7:30 pm to 8:00 pm - Prize Distribution 

Rules for Participation:  

• Any student enrolled in the current academic year 2016-17 from 2nd to 5th year can participate in the AQ-2016 event.
• Two students per team 
• No restriction on number of teams for written quiz ( first round ) 
• Registration is available online / on the spot 
• 2 stages of quiz (Qualifying round - written objective test of 15 - 20 questions for 15 min round and Final main round) 

Format of Quiz: 

Qualifying Round – a question paper to be solved by a team with 15 – 20 objective questions in 15 minutes. 

Rule: Top 6 teams will be shortlisted in the assessment (which will not include more than 2 teams per college)

Final Quiz - Top 6 teams shortlisted will participate for Main Quiz rounds. 

Quiz Awards: 

Winners - ₹ 10,000 per team + certificates + trophies 

First runners up - ₹ 5,000 per team + certificates + trophies 

Second runners up - ₹ 2,500 per team + certificates + trophies
