As a part of Town Planning (TP) subject, a site visit was arranged for the IV year students to the Town Planning Department of PCMC, Pune.
The objective was to understand the composition and functioning of the Town Planning department.
Students were instructed to carry :
- Location of PCMC in Pune map
- Maps showing different area/blocks in PCMC zone
- Land use map of PCMC
Following aspects to be understood :
- Date of establishment
- Reason of establishment
- Aim and Objective
- Role/Function
- Nature/ Scope of work
- Organizational set up
- Which tier of Government (State/ Central /Local)
- Schemes undertaken by PCMC
- How is it different from PMC
