Ar. Mohammad Shaheer, New Delhi visited the college and went through the designs of the Ist yr B.Arch students. This was followed by an intense interactive session with them regarding the ‘Tangram furniture’ design project. His inputs on the project and the learning process in architecture were extremely valuable for students as well as faculty.
Vigyano Scholma, a sculptor from Germany visited the school and conducted a workshop on sketching for the Ist yr B.Arch students. He started with some warm up exercises to free the mind and the hand for better sketching. The students then sketched the models posing for them. The exercise helped them understand the basics of human proportions and also developed their sketching skills.
A jury was arranged for the students of III B.Arch for Residential School design project. Eminent architects Ar. Snehanshu Mukherji, New Delhi and Ar. Madhav Joshi, Pune were the jury members. The students got extremely valuable inputs from both the jury members, which helped them in mid course correction and fine tuning of their designs.
The first week of the next batch of Ist B.Arch students started with an Orientation workshop similar to the previous batch. The students enjoyed working in groups and put up an impressive installation based on the theme ‘ Street scape ‘ - 5000 BC to 5000 AD. They learnt some creative skills as an introduction to architecture.
