Ar. Neera Adarkar visited VIT’s PVPCOA, Pune on Saturday 31st August 2019 for an interaction and Review with 4th year students on the ongoing Habitat studio. This studio is the third in the “Urbanizing Peripheries” series conducted in the 4th year design studio.
The current project “Interpreting Centres in Urban Peripheries” is located in Dehu, Nighoje, Chikali and Talwade.
Today’s discussion ranged from Policies on Housing, understanding of open spaces to nuances of community living.

Fourth Year Habitat Studio Review:

The title of the project for the proposed review is Interpreting the Centers in Urban Peripheries: Dehu, Nighoje, Chikhali, Talwade which is part of Fourth Year Design Studio Theme- ‘Urbanising Peripheries’ around Pune. This project is third in the series after Hinjewadi and Bhugaon.

Orientation week activity #3 was a painting workshop- held at @PVPCOA and conducted by @migolinearvibes. The intent was to explore the medium of acrylic paint and express themselves without inhibitions. Students were divided into pairs and had to paint one 40cm x 40cm panel between them using any tool. After the paint dried they were asked to peel off the strategically placed stickers to reveal a secret message! There was immense excitement as the patterns were revealed! It was a fun-filled workshop!

Students Achievement- 2019-20- Know Master Architects Through Model

KMATM( Know Master Architects Through Model) - 2019 was an inter-college Architectural Model making competition based on the works of the Master Architects residential projects hosted by Sinhagad College of Architecture in their campus on 12th and 13th of August 2019.
The competition was concluded with the presence of well known jury members.
