Site Visit : ABTS IV - Swimming Pool and Balewadi Stadium - 31/08/2015

As a part of  Advanced Building Technology and Services (ABTS) subject IV year students visited Swimming Pool at Shree Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex at Balewadi, Pune to study the Filtration system and other related services. The Stadium was visited to study its construction details and function.

Site Visit : ABTS IV - Industrial Shed, Shirval - 28/08/2015

As a part of Advanced Building Technology and Services (ABTS) subject IV year students visited the Industrial Shed to study the portal frame construction details, Cladding system details, joinery and the overall building envelope.

STUDENTS ACHIEVEMENT : COA - NIASA NATIONAL THESIS AWARDS 2015

Council of Architecture (COA) through its academic unit - National Institute of Advanced Studies in Architecture (NIASA) has been organizing an "AWARDS PROGRAMME For EXCELLENCE IN ARCHITECTURAL THESIS" for students who have submitted their thesis, in the undergraduate courses, each academic year, from Colleges of Architecture in India. This is an annual event to identify the best thesis projects at undergraduate and Post Graduate level.

For this year the National Final Jury was held on 25th August 2015, at Jamia Milia Islamia, New Delhi and Awards ceremony was held on 26th August 2015 in Joseph Allen Stein's Auditorium at INDIA HABITAT CENTRE (IHC), New Delhi.

The winner of this year has been announced to be VIKRAM YELURE from Padmabhushan Dr. Vasantdada Patil College of Architecture, Pune  for his thesis on "SANGRAHA  SANGAM - A decentralized Idea of City Museum, Pune". The concept and focus was a tribute to the Indian Freedom Movement and the culture of  Pune.

The award was given at  the hands of  Hon. Speaker of  LOK SABHA,  Smt. Sumitra Mahajan and  Deputy Speaker of  LOK SABHA  Mr. M. Thambi Durai. The winners have been awarded with the prize money of  Rs. 75000 each.

For the Second Indian domestic contest for Asian Contest for Architectural Rookie's Award (ACARA) -2015, (hosted by PVP college of architecture) invitations for participation were sent to all the 400 plus colleges recognised by Council of Architecture in India.
