As a part of Basic Design, II year B. Arch students were given an exercise.
'One material, singular aim yet limitless possibilities' was an idea that structured the 'PAPERSCRAPER' exercise. Students were required to use newspaper to build the tallest possible 'PAPERSCRAPER'. Within a restricted amount of time of four hours they were to build paper towers that put their creativity to test. The definitive aim of the exercise was to discover a whole number of manipulative verbs while coming up with a design solution that was both aesthetic and structurally viable.
