Monsoon Trek - 25/06/2016

The students of PVPCOA organised a Monsoon trek to Torana Fort on Saturday, 25th of July 2016.
Torana is also known as Prachandgadh and is located near Pune. The fort was built in 13th century by the Shaiv panth (Hindu followers of Shiva).
Around 120 students participated in the trek and made it a success with full safety and caution.

Site Visit : BTM IV : Balaji Manas Valley, Bhukum - 16/06/2016

As a part of BTM IV, the Third Year students visited the Balaji Manas Valley in Bhukum to understand and study the reinforcements in slab and balconies (simply supported and cantilevered).

Deliberations on Syllabus : III, IV and V year - 15/06/2016

The Deliberations on Syllabus of IIIrd, IVth and Vth year was held at PVPCOA on Wednesday, 15th June 2016.

It was headed by Dr. M. V. Telang, Chairman of Board of Studies (BoS) and conducted by BoS (Architecture) Coordination Committee namely, Dr. Abhijit Natu, Prof. Pushkar Kanvinde, Dr. Anurag Kashyap, Dr. Vasudha Gokhale, Dr. Priyamvada Chitale and Prof. Purva Keskar.

The deliberation was also attended by Directors/Principals/HoDs of Architecture Colleges of Savitribai Phule Pune University along with the respective subject faculty coordinators of III, IV and V year.

Goal Gappe: Rural Life, Rural Thinking, Vernacular Culture of Bhari - 10/06/2016

In the second week of the 2016-17 academic year at VIT's PVPCOA, the first Goal Gappe session was held on Friday, 10th June 2016.

The main aim of Goal Gappe Session is to involve students into active discussions over a wide range of topics.

The topic for the session was Rural Life, Rural Thinking and Vernacular Culture of Bhari. Under the Sansad Adarsh Gram Yojana, the Government gives an opportunity to architects to involve into critical analysis of 21st century Vernacular Architecture, understand Rural lifestyle and propose development so that it will sustain the village's identity.

Suresh Batra, Sanket Munshi and Ankit Parekh of 3rd year (academic year 2015-16) from PVPCOA were selected for a workshop for the same and also led the Goal Gappe session.

The students of second year to fourth year actively participated in the session.

Commencement of PG Landscape Architecture Course - July/August 2016

We at VIT;s PVP College of Architecture are happy to inform you that, we are commencing a 2 Years Full Time POST GRADUATE COURSE in LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTURE. The course will commence from July/August 2016 for the Academic year 2016-17.

The course is recognised by Council of Architecture and affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University.

The PG course will be Mentored by Ar. Jayant Dharap and Ar. Varsha Gavandi.
and will be supported by a Faculty team consisting of Ar. Avadhoot Kumthekar, Ar. Jitendra Pawgi, Ar. Meena Rohankar, Ar. Pradeep Devarchetti, Ar. Shivram Somasundaram, Ar. Umesh Wakaley and Ar. Vikas Labba.
